A concept aimed at making simple software you use daily simpler, more stable and more personal than it is today. All that, and at symbolic price or even no price at all. Improved Software puts you ahead of the software, so that software can serve you instead of the opposite.

what is wrong with the software you use today?

Currently, your software is built like this: software engineers create a version of it. After getting feedback from many users, they release next version. Next version is always a bit bulkier, since it tries to deliver improvements needed by all those users. The above process happens again and again, and eventually your software becomes too complex to use, too slow and too disk space demanding. Instead of becoming better for you, it becomes better for that phantom "generic user". Whether it is downloading new versions, learning new features, finding that old feature that you normally use or getting new machine to satisfy its appetites, your software will make you work for it. You do not want that. You want your software to work for you. Or at least, if you will work for your software, you want that work to be creative and recognised. And optional. Right?

You can then download version of application preconfigured with a feature set of your choice and then, at any time, decide if you need more features or want to get rid of some of existing ones. There are many benefits to this approach - the features you are using are always most stable latest versions, while application is personalized and as simple as you need it to be: the less features you use, the faster and smaller application, and the simpler user interface. And if your really want completely new version will all new cool features, go ahead and do download it from the Net. Freshly preconfigured.
